About This Place

New Asia Market in Stallings, North Carolina, stands out as a vibrant and authentic destination for lovers of Asian groceries, fresh baked goods, and made-to-order meals. As a multifaceted market combining an Asian grocery store, bakery, restaurant, and supermarket all under one roof, it offers a unique shopping and dining experience that draws customers from near and far.

One of the most remarkable draws of New Asia Market is its impressive breadth of specialized ingredients and products that customers often struggle to find elsewhere. Shoppers like Natalié Art appreciate the exclusivity of many items, noting that while some prices are higher compared to other stores, the market excels at sourcing rare Asian pantry staples and authentic delicacies—making it worthwhile for those in search of hard-to-find goods. This is no ordinary supermarket; it's a treasure trove for culinary adventurers and households eager to explore authentic flavors from across Asia, including Indian, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Filipino cultures.

Richard Peter Johnson sums up the spirit of the market perfectly, highlighting not just the extensive selection but also the vibrant food court experience. The famously fresh seafood section features everything from live frogs and turtles to an enticing spread of fish that catches the eye with its freshness and quality. The sight of Peking ducks hanging openly is both nostalgic and inviting, serving as a testament to the market’s commitment to authentic, traditional Asian food experiences.

For those who love freshly prepared Asian dishes, the cafeteria-style dining area offers a wonderful way to indulge in comforting classics. Customer Hung Do’s praise for the beef chow fun and combo pan-fried noodles captures the heart of the market’s culinary appeal: tender beef paired with perfectly textured noodles and crunchy bean sprouts that stay fresh even as leftovers. The freshly baked buns and sweet fresh tofu with caramel add delightful contrasts of texture and flavor, all contributing to a deeply satisfying food experience that keeps guests coming back.

Ryan White’s enthusiastic endorsement of New Asia Market’s variety, especially the impressive array of chile oils and specialty ingredients, shines a light on how this market caters to discerning cooks and foodies alike. The freshness of the seafood and the authentic food court offerings create a sensory-rich atmosphere where shopping evolves into a full cultural experience.

Beyond groceries and eating, New Asia Market meets everyday needs with a great selection of household pantry products. According to Richard Peter Johnson, many customers find themselves frequently replenishing essentials here — a sure sign of trust in the quality and availability of its goods.

While Teresa Hedlund notes that prices have increased over time, she acknowledges the market’s sizable and well-stocked inventory as an appealing balance. Customers who visit after nearby shopping excursions, like those from Charlotte Premium Outlets, find this market an invaluable stop to explore and stock up on authentic Asian ingredients and delicious food.

In essence, New Asia Market is not just a place to shop—it’s a vibrant community hub that celebrates Asian culinary heritage through an expansive grocery selection, a warm food court, and a bakery that delivers freshly baked delights. Whether you’re seeking elusive ingredients, craving a comforting meal, or looking for fresh seafood and bakery items, New Asia Market delivers a rich, authentic, and satisfying experience that resonates deeply with the soul and palate of every visitor.

It's great, go check it out. I love this place! Some items are overpriced, those they sell in other stores such as a $5 mochi ice cream box everywhere else, but they charge $10 for theirs. And, other stuff like some standard tea brands that are $2 less in other places and canned food. But, they sell items you can not find anywhere. So, I stick to buying things there that I can't find anywhere in the city and U go to get their fresh produce because I can buy everything I need in one place. Fresh herbs, huge portion of fresh mint compared to other grocery stores. Sprouts by the lb, several types of fresh mushrooms I haven't found anywhere else. Also, the management is super kind and helpful. Very friendly and do what ever they could to help me find what I need. I'd rate it a 5 ***** but they need to make things more affordable! The $16 earrings are online from China for about $5-10. I overspend every time I go because of how pricey everything is. I'm only able to go shopping there occasionally because of that.

Love this place. I go out of my way to come here over super g or other similar places. The food court is unmatched. Love the Peking ducks hanging right there. They have a diverse seafood selection. Where can you go and there’s a bucket of live frogs and turtles. Also they have a great selection of household pantry products I find myself needing to replenish constantly.

Had a great shopping experience at the New Asia Market. I needed a specifically Chinese market and this place has a lot I was looking for! They have far-beyond your standard chile oil they have so much variety, they probably have that weirdly specific ingredient you are looking for! The fish smelled very fresh and clean I really enjoyed seeing the fish looked great. The food was good too can't wait to go back! Great prices!!!

They have a wide variety of groceries as well as fresh food. They are usually well stocked though the prices have tended to increase over time. Compared to other local Asian markets, it is a decent size, offering a selection items from different Asian backgrounds like Indian, Chinese, Vietnamese, Filipino, etc. Their fresh food area is cafeteria style, with some seating and offers Chinese food for dine in or takeout. They also have a small bakery, chinese BBQ and some fresh steamed items like bao. They also have live fish, crustaceans and a small butchery area. If you are wanting to make a simple Asian meal or pick up some familiar snacks, this is the place to visit however there are other markets in the area that offer a wider variety.

We stopped by here after shopping at Charlotte Premium Outlets. We bought (4) baked buns, (2) fresh tofu with caramel, & ordered a beef chow fun & combo pan fried noodles. Beef chow fun was excellent, almost perfect. I wish they brown the noodle a bit. Noodle was wide & soft. Beef was tender & bean sprout was crunchy. Pan fried noodle was also great even on the next day. Fresh tofu was yummy, wish they add ginger to the caramel sauce. Buns were large & soft. Grocery prices were very reasonable. Wife bought a few dry goods & fruits.

I really like this New Asia Marker! They have a wide variety of products: lots of fruits, vegetables, chips, sweets, drinks, as well as frozen and ready-made meals. Everything is fresh and reasonably priced. It’s convenient to quickly find everything you need in one place. I recommend it if you want to diversify your diet and try something new!
